Why we built it
The world is moving toward creators. More and more of what people watch, read, learn from, and laugh at comes from individuals, not studios. But the people making that work often see very little of the value they create.
Even creators with large followings can earn surprisingly little from the platforms they post on. To keep going, many end up chasing brand deals, which means less time for the work their audience showed up for in the first place.
OMEISSA gives fans a simple, direct way to change that. When you send a Star, most of it goes to the creator, so they can keep creating. And because 20% of every Star goes to a charity the creator chooses, your support reaches further than one person. Fans, creators, and causes all win together.
We also wanted a social space that feels like yours. On OMEISSA you pick what you see. Follow the creators you love, join their communities, and use Fan Pages to find friends who are into the same things you are. No feed full of suggestions you never asked for.

A note from the founder
I started OMEISSA because I kept seeing talented creators with loyal audiences struggle to make their work sustainable. Their fans wanted to help. There just wasn't a simple way to do it that also felt meaningful beyond the transaction.
So I built one: a place where supporting a creator keeps them creating, gives back to a cause they care about, and brings people together around what they love. OMEISSA is still early, and I read every message that comes in. If you have an idea, a question, or something you want us to build, I'd love to hear it.

About the name
OMEISSA comes from Meissa, an O-type star in the Orion constellation. O-type stars are among the hottest and brightest stars in the universe, and Meissa shines at the head of Orion, a constellation people have looked up to for thousands of years. We want every creator here to shine like that, with their community's Stars behind them.
Built to be trusted
OMEISSA is operated by OMEISSA LLC, a US company. Payments are processed by Stripe, and charity donations are disbursed through Endaoment, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to vetted charity partners.
